At Bald Hills Kindergarten and Preschool, we believe in promoting the holistic welfare of children and families through an active and inclusive learning environment. We value the notion that childhood is a precious and magical time, where children can be empowered with a solid foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

We embrace the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline. We strive to create a supportive Centre that fosters family partnerships and community connectedness while embracing children’s diverse learning experiences. These frameworks provide a model for our Centre and validates our belief in promoting secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships with the community, our families, our children and our staff.

We encourage positive adaptation through diversity (cultural, social and religious) and ongoing learning and reflective practices. We value our commitment to responsiveness to children, to learning through play, to intentional teaching and to our well-balanced & dynamic learning environments.  

We understand and value the digital world into which today’s children will grow.  We strive to develop our technological skills and resources and to use these when educating children.

As a Centre and as individuals, we acknowledge and value the multi-cultural community in which we live and work.  We strive to inspire children and families to develop a meaningful understanding and acceptance of cultural competence.

We believe in embedding indigenous culture within our curriculum and instinctively.  We are committed to continual reflection, research and review with this goal in mind.

Connected

Aspiring to inspire, we hope to develop each child’s sense of awareness of themselves and their connectedness with their world. By developing the children’s ability to be creative thinkers, their resilience, independence, initiative, use of language to communicate with others and their ability to recognise and make positive decisions, we believe that children will grow to become responsible and respectful community members.

At Bald Hills Kindergarten and Preschool we aim to exceed expectations, to invigorate conversation and to enhance effective communication across multiple levels of our community. We aim to facilitate successful transitions by providing a meaningful curriculum and allowing time for each child to explore and develop at their own pace.

Connectedness

Our Centre staff are dedicated to providing personalised support for our children and their families. We strive to be positive role models and teach by example. We believe that with continued commitment and professional development we, as a team, provide an exceptional and rewarding service. We have utmost confidence that, in collaboration with our communities, our Centre provides valuable opportunities and paves the way to a very bright future for every child.

Our Centre strives to have staff that strongly value and understand the importance of self-reflection and continued professional development and that show commitment to the Centre Ethos, displaying high levels of professional standards.
